The joys of City Water and photos of a day project!

Guess why I am boiling water like a women from a different century...... because they found E. coli in our water from a routine sampling...we get to boil water until Friday. We can shower and wash clothes without boiling the water; but for cooking, consumption, or washing dishes I get to boil it first!!! How fun, now I am so glad I am not going to work until September...I get to be a stay at home wife and boil water for our daily use...

I am wondering when the next shipment of bottled water will arrive at the local grocery stores...we went to one and got a few bottles....but I am boiling for now....

Matt had his start of orientation today and that meant I needed a project to do; so if you visit my home page here you will see what I did this afternoon!

Photo album of our move to Etown

Photos as promised: http://web.mac.com/rskillen/Rebekah_Skillen/Etown_Albums/Etown_Albums.html

Let me know what you think, or if you have any difficulty view it.

A corner in the dining room

These are flowers from my garden. "They" call them Snowbell bushes, but I know them as hydrangeas! I've been told they start out green, then turn blue and finish in a pink color- I tried to pick three that showed off the three different colors!
This little corner is in our orange dining room! I love the color- it really isn't as scary bright as it looks in these photos. Can you see the glass door knob! They are on all the doors except for one and I love them! I think my watercolor (no- I didn't paint it, though I did purchase it in ROME!) just pops in this room! Whenever I walk by this corner I look at it and smile.

The watercolor I purchased in Rome (very good Senior high school memories), the vase was a high school graduation gift from a dear family that I kidsitted for, and the little trinket box was from Matt on one of his travels when I was going through a box stage. The table was one of our few pieces of furniture (garage sale purchase) when we bought our first home 6 yrs ago. The candle holder has held many candles, and the iphone- well that's Matt's.

Working on a slide show of more photos!

We are still alive!

There are fewer full boxes and more broken down boxes to go into recycling. I promise once things are less hectic and in more of a routine I will be back on a more frequent basis, with photos!!!

Until then,

BEK :)

Good news on the moving truck arriving!

I promise I will post pictures once the office has a desk and MY computer is hooked up!!! :) We got a call from the driver and he said the moving truck should be in our driveway bright and early on the 5th!!! We are so excited!

Weather here is really nice, warm/muggy afternoons but the mornings and evenings are wonderful! We had breakfast on the front porch on the swing this morning!

We had a major rain system come through last night into the evening. I woke up in the early morning (which is weird for a night person) and listened to the rain. It was so peaceful!

Today we bought garden shears and cleared back our hydrangea bush and rhododendrom (sp?) from the a/c unit!

We have enjoyed our nights on our aerobed; but are looking forward to our bed in our bedroom!

E-town

So much has happened in the last few days, I am not sure if I will ever get everything documented. We had an uneventful drive up to PA from KS Thursday morning and arrived to our new home Friday late afternoon. We have truly enjoyed our two evenings here in E-town. We are eagerly awaiting the moving truck to arrive in a week or so!
